Girma Altaye Gebremedhin brings 24 years of experience to his role and has served in various positions throughout the years. For the past seven years, he has held the position of National Director. Besides leading the Great Commission Ministry, Girma serves as the Principal of International Leadership University–Ethiopia and chairs the board at Sunrise Development. His educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Evangelism and Leadership from Wheaton College in Illinois and a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Regent University in Virginia Beach.
Outside of work, Girma cherishes time with his family. He, along with his wife of 20 years, Bethlehem (Betty), and their five children (four biological and one adopted), finds joy in family moments, often centered around reading the Bible and teaching his children about God's word.
Motivated by his faith, Girma tackles challenges with a solution-oriented mindset. He aspires to see the ministry grow and become self-sustainable, ensuring missionary care, fostering Church revival, and equipping the next generation to spread the gospel globally. Girma advises aspiring professionals in his field to maintain focus on the Lord and trust in His guidance.
