Sebsibe Elias Lodiso serves as the National Director for Global Church Movement (GCM) with Great Commission Ministry Ethiopia (GCME), a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ International (Cru). He is passionate about seeing disciples of Jesus multiplied, churches planted, and leaders equipped to advance the Gospel throughout Ethiopia and beyond.
Sebsibe has served full-time with Great Commission Ministry since 2017. His ministry journey began as a missionary focused on evangelism and disciple-making. He later served as a Student-Led Movement leader in the Hawassa Regional Office, where he invested in students, developed leaders, and helped establish new fellowships. He then served for three years as Hawassa Regional Director, providing leadership for ministry growth, staff development, evangelism, church planting, and partnerships with local churches. During his leadership in Hawassa, more than 300 churches and groups were planted, and thousands of people were reached with the Gospel.
Before assuming his current GCM leadership role, Sebsibe served as National Director of Geographic Expansion, helping strengthen regional ministry, develop leaders, support new ministry locations, and align regional initiatives with national strategy.
Today, Sebsibe provides national leadership for the Global Church Movement, focusing on disciple-making, church planting, leadership development, movement multiplication, and strategic partnerships. His vision is to see healthy, multiplying movements of disciples and churches established throughout Ethiopia and connected to the global movement of God.
Sebsibe also serves in broader African and global ministry initiatives, contributing to efforts that strengthen church-planting movements, develop leaders, and mobilize the Church for the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from Hawassa University and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from International Leadership University Ethiopia. His leadership is shaped by a deep commitment to Jesus Christ, a passion for developing people, and a desire to see the Gospel reach communities and nations.
Sebsibe is married to Rediet Solomon, and together they have twin daughters, Wudase and Elilta, and a son, Barkot. Sebsibe and Rediet consider their family and ministry partnership a privilege and seek to serve Christ together.
«“Every person deserves an opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. We are committed to making disciples, raising leaders, and planting multiplying churches until the Great Commission is fulfilled.”»
