Sintayehu Philipos Sumebo serves as the National Mobilization Coordinator for the ministry. He has been with the ministry for the last 18 years. Sintayehu is married and blessed with three beautiful children: a 5-year-old boy, a 2-year-old girl, and a 4-month-old girl. His educational background includes an advanced diploma in Pharmacy Technology from Hawassa Health Science College, a first degree in Governance and Development Studies from Hawassa University, and an MA in Transformational Leadership from Global Academy of Transformational Leadership.
Within the ministry, Sintayehu's main responsibilities include discipleship, evangelism, training, and developing young leaders through student and church ministries. He is also involved in organizing and establishing action groups and mobilizing churches for missions. Notably, he has established action groups within churches, discipled students, organized short-term student missions, and participated in charity and mission trips to Mekele.
What he enjoys most about working at the ministry is the concept of building a spiritual movement. Outside of work, he enjoys going to the gym, reflecting, walking, and reading. A memorable project for him was the Life for All Conference and organizing various short-term missions within the country, prayer mobilizations, and active mobilizations for organized evangelism.
Sintayehu is motivated by God’s love, tangible results, the zeal for God's mission, passionate Kingdom laborers, the Holy Spirit, and the work of Jesus Christ to save mankind. He handles challenges and setbacks through prayer, patience, discussions, handling issues with love and truth in a godly manner.
His career aspiration within the ministry is to reach the lost for Christ and make disciples who can multiply other disciples of Jesus Christ. He advises aspiring professionals to draw inspiration from Jesus Christ, whose footsteps dramatically transformed His followers. Besides his main role, Sintayehu has served in various capacities, including leading student ministry in the Southern part of the country and leading the national prayer movement.
To prioritize work-life balance, Sintayehu follows the steps of putting God first, then family, and then ministry. For collaboration or assistance, colleagues or clients can reach him at sintayehu.philipos@gcmethiopia.org or +251916869549.
