Genet Yirga Asfaw serves as the Finance Manager at GCME, bringing over 13 years of experience to her role. With a BA in Accounting and soon-to-be graduate in Mission and Theology, Genet is dedicated to ensuring the financial health and integrity of the ministry.
As Finance Manager, Genet oversees various crucial aspects of financial management, including budgeting, accounting, financial planning, and team coordination. She facilitates mission finance, conducts financial analysis, and ensures policy implementation to uphold integrity and transparency.
One of her notable achievements includes implementing the Netsuite Finance System and strengthening alliances with ministries of similar countries. Genet finds fulfillment in the ministry's teamwork spirit and its contribution to her spiritual growth.
Outside of work, Genet enjoys listening to spiritual songs, visiting galleries, and furthering her education. She prioritizes providing monthly finance reports for leadership decisions and annual finance reports for external audits.
For aspiring professionals, Genet advises prayer, continuous learning, and patience. Additionally, she takes on additional responsibilities within the ministry, including counseling for youths and marriage counseling.
