Natnael Berta

System and IT Team Leader

Natnael Berta was born in 1987 E.C. in Enseno, a small village in southern Ethiopia. He attended Enseno Elementary and High School for his early education and completed a preparation course at Butajira High School.

Due to his interest in technology, Natnael applied to Arbaminch University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and was accepted in 2008. There, he learned programming, electronics, physics, and mathematics, specializing in computer engineering.

Natnael earned his bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering in 2013 E.C. He is actively involved in the Kale Hywot Church Addis Ababa Bole Congregation, his local church.

During his university years, Natnael became interested in digital evangelism and joined the Great Commission Ministry of Ethiopia (GCME) as an intern. Since joining as a staff member in 2013 E.C.,

He has been involved in various digital projects. Natnael manages the organization's finance system called NetSuite and serves as an Okta administrator, providing technical support and ministry advice.

Additionally, he serves as a national tech leader, collaborating with colleagues and evangelists to fulfill the mission of GCME. Natnael also enjoys training staff on global tools like NetSuite, Okta, MPDX, and Simple App.

Collaborating with like-minded colleagues, he continues to learn and develop his skills. Additionally, Natnael contributes as a recording team member for the Jesus Film, helping translate and record the message in different languages to reach more people with the gospel.

His academic background includes proficiency in various technologies, including IoT, CISCO, email management, and cybersecurity.
