My name is Misael Dessalegn, and I was born in Hosana, a town located 227 km from Addis Ababa. Growing up in Hosana, I was surrounded by the beauty of nature and a close-knit community. From a young age, I developed a deep interest in technology and its potential to create positive change. As I pursued my education at Arba Minch University, I discovered my passion for software development within God's Kingdom.
It was during my second year as a student when I first heard about digital strategy. At that time, I received an invitation from my fellowship leaders to participate in a DS retreat in Debre Zeyit City. During the retreat, my perspective on life and ministry was transformed as I attended various presentations and discussions on digital strategy. It was an eye-opening experience that ignited a fire within me to utilize technology for the advancement of God's Kingdom. Inspired by what I learned, I returned to campus with a newfound determination to establish and lead a digital strategy team.
For the next two years, I dedicated myself to leading the DS team, bringing together like-minded individuals who shared the vision of utilizing technology in ministry. We worked on various projects, leveraging digital platforms to spread the message of God's love and connect with people in meaningful ways. After graduating from Arba Minch University, I made the decision to join the national digital strategy team in Addis Ababa. This step allowed me to further expand my skills and contribute to digital initiatives on a larger scale. Currently, I am actively involved in designing and implementing digital strategies that support the mission of spreading God's Kingdom through technology.
